French-Ivorian-Swiss, Sandra Coulibaly now holds important leadership roles at the International Organisation of La Francophonie. Knight of the Order of Academic Palms and a trilingual speaker, this international expert in intercultural relations is also a prize-winner of the Geneva poetry competition and an international music and dramatic art competition. Interview.
What did you study?
I have a Master’s degree in Anglophone and Francophone Intercultural Relations (Paris 13 University), and another Master’s Degree in Hypermedia/Social Issues (Paris VIII and the Ecole Normale Superieure Institute) and an Executive Master’s Degree in Negotiations and International Policy (the Institute of Advanced International University Studies and Development – Geneva), making up my university education.
What are the highlights of your career path?
They range from a first mission at the International Agency of La Francophonie to the International Organisation of La Francophonie, where I currently work and where I’ve been entrusted with several responsibilities. I’m a professional activist for the Francophone world, which accounts for my current job.
What is it like?
I’m the Deputy Director and Prospective Manager at the Strategic Programming and Development Department. Establishing new partnerships (UNESCO, OECD, etc.), coordination, human resources and financial management are my main areas duties; but there are some others which are just as interesting.
Last point: given that the FEDE is fully dedicated to education and citizenship, I’d like to highlight that I’ve had teaching experience as I lectured at the Senghor University of Alexandria (Egypt).
