Karim Dehimi is Director of WES’SUP Group. He introduces himself and explains the advantages of the FEDE DBA, which he is currently offering to his students
What have been the highlights of your career?
I have a degree in management science from the Université Pierre Mendes France. Following a career in industry, for some 15 years now I have focused on education. I am director of Wes’sup Group, which I founded in France and Switzerland. We currently have four sites (Lyon, Annecy, Geneva and Saint-Genis) and have some 300 BTS and DBA students.
Why did you decide to start offering DBAs?
A DBA is an excellent career opportunity and a great choice for students who wish to focus on applied research and to help companies to deal with various issues relating to human resources, finance, innovation or marketing. DBA graduates therefore provide the companies where they work with a competitive advantage.
In your opinion, what is the role of the FEDE?
The FEDE, with its research laboratory headed by Jean-Louis Bischoff and its network of over 500 institutions, is a very effective development tool. Its experts, who are all tuned into the latest research and issues faced by businesses, help our students better to navigate the complexities of the contemporary world.
Can you describe the attitude of the students currently enrolled in your FEDE DBA programme?
Our two doctoral students are delighted to be enrolled in the programme since it is enabling them to learn about research methodology, develop a new approach to business issues and gain perspective and vision as to the latest business challenges and how they might be addressed.
