Eric Dumartin, a human resources expert and education and training professional, has recently joined the FEDE’s Panel of Experts
What did you study?
I’ve studied in a number of business schools. I have a master’s in human resources management from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion, Paris (2004), a human resources management diploma from INSEEC Business School (1985) and a certificate awarded by Roosevelt University, Chicago (1984).
Would have been the highlights of your career?
I have many years’ experience in human resources management. I began in 1999 as Human Resources Director at BancTec (a company specialising in financial transactions and payment methods processing), before taking up the same role at Affinion Group – Webloyalty (a direct marketing firm) from 2000 to 2014. I also worked for a year at LINKBYNET (a business services firm). And from 2015 to 2017 I was General Director of Freelance Group (managing staff plus 3000 freelancers). Since 2018, I’ve been Consulting Director at C2 Consulting, a firm whose aim is to promote continuing education.
In addition to your human resources experience you also have a large amount of experience in continuing education and training.
Yes, I currently teach sustainable development to master’s students at the ISG (Institut Supérieur de Gestion). I’m also Vice-President of the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (IAE) of Paris I Panthéon- Sorbonne University, a board member at Excellia Business School, and a member of the Île-de-France region inter-academic council of the French national education system. In February 2018 I was also named Vice-President of Fongecif for the Île-de-France region (a fund that finances time off work to retrain). So yes, I am more than familiar with educational issues and employers’ ongoing training needs!
