The FEDE, International Non-governmental Organization, supranational institution endowed with participatory status with the Council of Europe has an ambitious project to place education in the heart of the development of our societies.
At the Senate, at the House of Europe, during a regional conference of our partner IACBE or in the pro-bono European summit, you find the actions led in October by the FEDE, in service to the model of progress for young generations on a global scale.
The FEDE is participating in the debate « A Europe of Values » at the House of Europe
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the House of Europe, Paris, France, in cooperation with the Paris City Hall is organizing a debate on the theme « A Europe of Values » (“Une Europe des Valeurs) presented by two European political experts: Enrico LETTA, president of the Jacques Delors Institute, Dean of the School of International Affairs and Political Sciences, Paris (PSIA) and former president of the Italian Council of ministers and Frans TIMMERMANS, first vice-president of the European Commission.
What are the objectives of the exchanges? An in depth debate on the values and the links that unite Europeans!
The president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, has reported one of his priorities: « Our European Union is much more than a vast common market. It is also a Union of shared values, enshrined in the treaties and the Charter of Fundamental Rights. The citizens expect their governments to insure justice, protection and equality, as well as full respect of their fundamental rights and the rights of the State. This also requires joint action on the European level, on the basis of our common values… »
In their exchanges, the two recall the incredible work of integration accomplished on the European scale over the last decades. In the domain of education, the Erasmus program is an example of success that has had a deep impact on younger generations.
They also highlight the necessity of staying lucid in the face of questioning and legitimate worries by European citizens confronted with tumultuous and complex current events.
Lastly, they conclude with an essential idea, placed at the heart of the FEDE project: « if younger generations awaken, the European dream will awaken as well ».
The FEDE shares the objectives and missions of the Paris House of Europe because by opening up to an active and inclusive European citizen, the Paris House of Europe explores the sense and future of the European project with a pluralistic and open perspective. Its program concentrates on Europe, its institutions, its borders and its place in the world with a particular importance given to citizenship and political participation, diversity, intercultural practices as well as economic, social and environmental issues.
The FEDE is invited to the 1st European Summit on Pro Bono in Paris
“Together we prepare the future!” is the ambition of the first European Summit on Pro Bono organized in Paris, on the theme of the community in public action.
The FEDE is proud to participate and associate with this initiative, which is targeted to promote in co-construction with public institutions, individual actions of citizens and the community for the good of the public and the public interest.
Pro bono is Latin signifying «for the good of the public» and means there is a voluntary commitment from skilled professionals. Since the 1970s a number of professionals throughout the world have shared their skills in strategy, finance, marketing, communication, human resources, web and moreover law to graciously help associations build a society and a Europe with more solidarity and furthermore increase the number of societal challenges of tomorrow through cooperation and a continuation of public action.
Pro bono also means voluntary commitment to giving a sense to their professions by serving the public interest. It is the role of a civil society and its citizens.

The FEDE is participating in the regional European conference of the IACBE (International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education) on the theme: Beyond the walls – the future of business education.
The FEDE is a partner of the IACBE, American accreditation organization, which depends on the American CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation).
Organized on the campus of the Parisian American Business School, conceived as a real educational and professional forum it is based on the exchange of good practices between schools. This day of work is the occasion to present the latest studies and academic rapports in a number of domains: student projects, strategies for integrating new technologies in teaching, encouraging the multidisciplinary nature at the heart of schools, etc.
The FEDE actively participates in exchanges bringing its expertise in themes of education, the harmonization of educative practices on the global scale, internationalization and professional targets and training paths.
Jean-Louis Bischoff, director of research for the FEDE and scientific director of the FEDE doctoral school participates in a symposium at the Senate in Paris, France.
The theme is « Religions and the Republic » and more specifically in a round table discussion, «Equality». Jean-Louis Bischoff presents findings from his research and those of the FEDE Research Institute: the unbreakable link between equality and humanism, the primordial role of education in the genesis of a more human and civil society and the importance of teaching all religious and spiritual facts at school.
Accompanied by the philosophers (Blandine Kriegel – former president of the High Council of Integration; Abdennour Bidar – High-ranking official; Olivier Abel – Professor at the “Faculté de Théologie protestante” in Montpellier), journalists (Thierry Guerrier – France Télévisions ; Fabrice Drouelle – France Inter), and other celebrities (Fatia Benatsou – Prefect delegate of Equal Opportunities in the Val d’Oise ; Nicole Bricq – Senator ; Antoine Frérot – CEO of Veolia ; Ghaleb Bencheikh – Islamic scholar and presenter of the TV program « Islam » on France 2 ; etc.), Jean-Louis Bischoff examines the links between « Liberty », « Equality», « Fraternity», « Secularism » and « Religions ».
