Issam Ben Ayad: ‘As a human resources manager, I wish to be fully in tune with the times’

What did you study and what is your current job role ? I obtained a bachelor’s in administration, followed by a master’s in human resources management (Abdelmalk Essaadi University). After a number of internships in companies, I now work as commercial attaché for an insurance company. I advise and guide customers on motorbike, home, life and car insurance contracts. Why have you chosen to study for a DBA ? During my internships, and in my current job role, I have developed negotiation and agile work skills. I have also improved my patience. These skills have given me a desire to develop my knowledge of human resources. Is it this that inspired the subject of your DBA ? Right. I would like to acquire new theoretical and practical knowledge in the [lire plus]

Michel Maffesoli: “We’re living in an age of revolt”

Michel Maffesoli, founding member of the FEDE’s Academic Council, a sociologist specialised in the imaginary, a professor emeritus at the Sorbonne, and an internationally recognised author, has just published his latest book. A socio-philosophical enquiry in 190 pages, it is entitled L’ère de soulèvements [the age of revolt]. 30 years after the publication of Maffesoli’s prophetic political work Le temps des tribus [the time of tribes], this new book conceptualises what he calls ‘soft totalitarianism’. In explaining and justifying the meaning of this term, Professor Maffesoli argues that the totalitarianism he is referring to, which is an informed reworking of what common knowledge calls ‘politically correct,’ is set to undergo attack from various directions. Michel Maffesoli’s analysis should inform our understanding of the gilets jaunes [‘yellow vests’] movement in France [lire plus]

ET LA LUMIÈRE FUT… IMPRESSIONNISME !…
