The School is located in La Ferté Bernard in Sarthe. They are specialised in training in management and maintenance of natural areas and forestry work.

La Maison Familiale, founded in 1964, is a private establishment under contract with the public authorities. It initially offered training focused on agriculture.

In the 1980s, the Board of Directors took the decision to orient its training towards the forest to meet the demands of professionals and families, while also gradually increasing the levels of qualifications offered.

Since the 90s, an orientation towards environmental professions, in addition to the forest has been chosen. Today, the offer of diploma and qualifying courses is extensive and allows the school to welcome 142 students (including 43 apprentices) from 4^th Grade to the Bachelor’s level.
