SSIT The Ecole Supérieure des Interprètes et Traducteurs (formerly Scuola Interpreti), based in Pescara, has been involved in the training of interpreters and translators for about 30 years, as well as in language services for public and private entities. The school has established various agreements with private institutions and academic institutions, such as the S. S. M. L. “Gregorio VII” in Rome, which runs courses in language mediation aimed at obtaining the “degree in language mediation” equivalent in all respects to that awarded by public universities. 

The SSIT in Pescara has also been involved in distance learning for more than a decade and was the first school in Italy to offer this opportunity with a method that is completely comparable, both in terms of quality and content, to the method of teaching practised in the classroom. In fact, off-site students are followed individually with a formula that allows maximum personalization according to the progress and didactic objectives of the learner.
