Solvej Hansen Löwe : ‘I look after photo rights for the Eiffel Tower’
Solvej Hansen Löve has Italian and Austrian parents and spent a long period living in Egypt and Australia. A lawyer specialised in intellectual property, he works for the company operating the Eiffel Tower. We speak with this globetrotter who has recently become a member of the FEDE’s Panel of Experts.
What did you study?
I have a DESS in workplace sociology (Paris VII Diderot University); before that I completed a DEUG in law, a bachelor’s in literature, and a master’s in sociology, which followed on from a study I carried out on workplace bullying. I’m currently doing a master’s at Sciences Po that focuses on companies’ managerial dynamics.
What is your current job role?
I’m in charge of photo rights for the Eiffel Tower brand. That means that I am in charge of the legal aspects of film shootings, advertisements and concerts that take place in and around the Eiffel Tower. I’m currently launching a range of products associated with the brand.
How do you feel about your job?
I’m very happy to be managing the image of one of the most visited monuments in the world. Moreover, as a European by culture and conviction, I’m also really pleased to be promoting Paris – the city of light. My job combines aspects of tourism, economics, and law, so it’s always very interesting and I learn a lot.
